Kelly Clarkson can’t listen to her old music

November 14th, 2012

Kelly Clarkson is like the rest of us, everyone! Kidding, we’re not multi-Grammy Award winning artists. But Kelly has admitted that she can’t listen to her old recordings (and you thought your “voice mail” voice was painful!). Kelly told CNN, “Sometimes, I can’t listen to really old school songs … because they just use so much auto-tune when it’s not needed that it kills me. I can’t listen to it,” Clarkson said in an interview with CNN. “What I love about that though is on songs like Miss Independent, not only was it autotune, I just sounded different, I sounded so young.”

Kelly is readying the November 19 release of her Greatest Hits: Chapter One album which will feature her new love song Don’t Rush. “[My song] Don’t Rush… is on the US album, and I would have totally not picked that song before because I would have been, ‘That’s cheese’,” Kelly explained. “Now that I’m living cheese and I’m in love, I totally love it.” We’ll get to hear her hits Miss Independent, Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You), and Behind These Hazel Eyes on Greatest Hits: Chapter One.
