Kelly Clarkson is ready to put her own girl group together for an upcoming song. The first ever American Idol winner shared her plan on Twitter, saying that she has a new track that would be the perfect collaboration between Lady Gaga, Jessie J, Pink and Clarkson. Kelly tweeted the idea to her over 2 million Twitter followers, saying “Okay so I have a killer song that I want @Pink @Ladygaga and @JessieJ to sing with me!! Any takers ladies?! It sounds like Bowie meets U2!”.
Clarkson went on to praise Pink’s new album, The Truth About Love, saying “Listening to the new @Pink cd and it’s freaking rad!! Wow!! Album of the year!! I love “how come you’re not here”!! Make sure y’all get it!”
Pink is no stranger to super groups, having won a Grammy with Christina Aguilera, Mya and Missy Elliott for their cover of Lady Marmalade. Lady Gaga won a MTV VMA for her collaboration withe Beyonce on Telephone. Jessie J broke out of her day job as a song writer into a bona fide pop star with her song Price Tag, on which B.o.B. appeared.
If anyone can get these four women together, it’s Kelly Clarkson. Plus, I really want to see Kelly is jeans and a tank top next to Lady Gaga.
