Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are planning a commitment ceremony following the announcement that the couple is expecting their first child together. The couple are hoping to tie the knot in an unofficial beach front ceremony to celebrate their love in front of their close family and friends while Kardashian waits for her divorce from Kris Humphries to be finalized.

A source told The Sun newspaper “Kanye is very traditional. He’d have liked to marry Kim now that they are having a baby. But with Kim still married to someone else, there is not much else he can do. It won’t be official like a wedding because Kanye wants that to be extra special when the time comes. But they will still exchange rings – they just won’t wear them on their wedding fingers. One of Kim’s friends is lending them his $7 million Malibu beach mansion and the entire bash will take place there. It’ll be a lot more low-key than a wedding.”

Kim filed for divorce after just 72 days of being married to basketball player Kris, who she wed in a lavish ceremony televised on her E! reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The glamorous 32-year-old star split from her first husband, music producer Damon Thomas, in 2004. West is allegedly planning a special fake honeymoon for Kim and will whisk her off to Italy for a long weekend after the no-expenses-spared bash in Malibu. Fake honeymoon, real baby. I feel like there’s a rap lyric in there somewhere.
