Kings Of Leon Add Toronto Date This April

NME is reporting that Kings Of Leon, who are nominated for three Grammys this weekend, are throwing together another North American tour this coming April (um, that’s soon).

There’s only one Canadian date and it’s in Toronto on April 21. And at Air Canada Centre. WOW. So Kings Of Leon went from selling out the Kool Haus (capacity: 2200 people) only three months ago in November to a show at Air Canada Centre (19,000)?? Not even an in between venue like Arrow Hall, Ricoh Coliseum or Sound Academy? Hmm. I’m not a fan of ANY of the venues I just mentioned in this paragraph (I could go on and on about the lack of a decent large-sized venue in Toronto for hours), but of those, ACC is probably the least terrible.

No idea yet when tickets go on sale, but when I find out, I’ll post the info here. Tickets on sale this Friday, February 20 @ 12pm ET and The Walkmen are the opening band.
