Kings of Leon has been announced as the headliners of the 2011 Isle of Wight festival. The festival runs from June 10th to 12th at Seaclose Park in the U.K. John Giddings, the festival promoter said, “We are proud to bring one of the world’s biggest rock bands to the island on our tenth anniversary. It is an incredible way to start the weekend, I can’t wait!”
Last year’s headliners were Paul McCartney, The Strokes and Jay-Z. The festival has won three UK Festival Awards for Best Major UK Festival, Outstanding Greener Festival and Outstanding Contribution to Festivals.
Tickets for the 2011 weekend are on sale very very soon, this Friday November 19.
