Kitty Pryde‘s debut mixtape, Haha, I’m Sorry, introduced audiences to her viral and addictive, bubblegum, teen rap. The sample of “Call Me Maybe” was particularly timely and set the tone for a short mixtape of snapshots from a fast-paced young lifestyle. The first single from her debut record is “Hittin Lix.” Interestingly, but not unpredictably, the track is a change-up from her widely-praised tape. The sound is slower and muggier talking about the devil and the sins it made her do. The 8-bit artwork still mirrors the lo-fi trashy aesthetic and the clouds represent what’s going on in her head.
