Kurt Vile Talks Touring and Baby Daughter

The Wedge host, Damian Abraham, met up with Philadelphia rocker Kurt Vile on Wednesday. They chat about his success, touring and his baby daughter at home.

Vile jokingly says the secret to his success is his “adult contemporary undertones,” this way he gets support from the mothers and the daughters. But touring for the mothers and the daughters isn’t easy when your van over heats and you leave your own daughter at home. Vile tells Damian that it’s rough leaving his daughter at home for several months. He goes on to say that he prefers touring than a regular job, “I gotta push the record for [the label]…I’ll push it for a few a months… but when I’m home, I’m home. I’m not like going to work, like, 9-5 so then I only see my daughter from like 5 to 7:30 every night.” Kurt Vile does a pretty good job balancing his home life and his touring life. Hopefully his van doesn’t break down on the way home.
