Drew Barrymore sparkled and shined in an iridescent dress last night at the New York premiere of her new film, Everybody’s Fine. Drew and co-star Kate Beckinsale play daughters to Robert DeNiro.
About the film, Barrymore says, “I think [it] touches on something very universal, very powerful and all my friends who have families are like freaked out and in love with the film, so I’m so glad.”
Meanwhile, over in L.A., Emily Blunt walked the red carpet in a black and silver cocktail dress at the premiere for her new film, Young Victoria. Emily had to hit the history books to prepare for playing the Queen of England.
“I read everything I could on her,” Emily says. “And there’s a real kind of fountain of knowledge that you can gain by reading about her. But, you know, the main things I found personally helpful were her diaries and her letters.”
And finally across the pond in London, Penelepe Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson walked the red carpet for the British premiere of their musical, Nine.
Kate Hudson sings and dances in the film – a first for her.
“I was nervous and exhilarated. The nerves happened first and then the experience was an exhilarating experience,” she admits.
Nine opens Christmas Day.
