Lady Gaga & Dave Grohl to star in Muppet movie

The thought of having a new Muppet movie is pretty exciting. It’s been 11 years since we last saw Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Animal and co. on the big screen and next year, thanks to Jason Segel and his writing partner Nicholas Stoller, we might even get the best Muppet movie.

While most of the details are under wraps, what we do know is that Segel, Jack Black and Ricky Gervais will all make cameos, as well as some big names in music.

As we already know, Lady Gaga is quite the Kermit fan (see above and see here) and because of that she is set to make an appearance at some point on screen.

Even better though is Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl, who actually plays a part in the plot: Grohl will stand in for regular Muppets drummer Animal while he attends anger management treatment. It’s about time they got Animal sorted out, eh?

The Muppets will hit theatres on November 23, 2011.
