The biggest tour of the fall and winter is Fame Kills, the co-headlining tour of Kanye West and Lady Gaga. We got to speak with Gaga this morning and ask her what we can expect as well as that old performance footage that recently surfaced.
Gaga explained the show’s will be very collaborative events. “We’re doing the whole show together,” she said. “We share the stage… it’s a story, and I’m on one end of the arena and Kanye’s on the other.
“There’s a storyline, I want to get from my side of the stage to Kanye’s side, and he wants to get to where I am, and I want what he has, which is the fame, and he wants what I have, which is home and my humble beginnings. So essentially we battle each other throughout the entire performance.”
We also asked Gaga if she’s embarrassed about the old video of her performing back in 2006 that recently surfaced.
“It’s very very old, I think it’s actually earlier than 2006,” she said. “I was 18 years old, so it’s about almost 6 years ago.
“I mean my favourite thing about watching that video is that um, I was so passionate and so kind of at it when I was so young, and um, I’ve changed a lot. I really really hustled in New York, I lived by myself, I left my family, and I really found who I was.”
Gaga said that despite how different she looks, she’s not embarrassed.
“I’m sure for some people, the difference in hair colour and how skinny I am now might be quite a difference. But I look on that video very fondly because I was so passionate and I feel like I could do anything.”
