My goodness, where do I even start? The first nautical/human sex scene? Lady Gaga kissing herself? The freaky ice cream truck guy? Man oh man….you think you’ve seen it all, and then Mother Monster comes out with another video, “You and I.”

I know where we’ll start: meet Jo Calderone! He’s the male alter ego of our beloved songstress, making his broadcast debut. And she loves the identity very much, singing to him as he smokes on top of her piano. Then things get even hotter as he and Lady Gaga lean in for a kiss….

Yup. She kisses her male-self. What can we say? She was born this way!

The video is a HUGE improvement over “The Edge Of Glory“: there’s plot, romance, sex and an underlying sentimental vibe that makes us love this video instead of just watching her writhing around in a fire escape.

“You and I” tells the story of a man desperate to make his lover, a mermaid, survive on land so they can live together forever. Which suits the song’s message of coming back a second time to reclaim the lover you gave up once before. And then there’s a crazy ice cream truck driver…
