It’s actually dangerous
July 30th, 2014
Just a couple of months after performing at the wedding of the year, Lana Del Rey has a stripped down wedding of her own in the new video for Ultraviolence.
After teasing the video earlier this week, our favourite tortured songstress dropped the video for her album’s title track online today and it’s everything you would expect from LDR: it’s simple, haunting, and beautiful, with a definite retro vibe.
Wearing a low-cut wedding dress, veil and carrying flowers, we see Lana walk slowly and seductively through the woods. The footage is grainy and washed out, as if its been given the Instagram filter treatment, and while we never see who’s actually shooting her we do see a hand reach out to touch Lana a couple of times. Definitely a little creepy. Her groom, perhaps?
When Lana finally arrives at the altar… well, you’ll have to see for yourself. Much like Radiohead’s now-classic video for Just, Ultraviolence is another video that will leave you with more questions than answers.
Here comes the bride, all dressed in… sadness.Tweet
