“I hate Bevers.”

When Lana Del Rey wasn’t busy performing at Kimye’s wedding this past weekend, she was releasing a new song from her upcoming album Ultraviolence.
The track, Shades Of Cool, is a gloomy affair similar to her first single West Coast. Backed by sweeping strings, Del Rey’s voice is front and center on this track, highlighting her unique and melodramtic tones. It’s a grandiose track, much like Del Rey’s other works, but decidedly taken a few notches down (save for the explosive guitar breakdown in the middle) and not in a bad way. No matter how much drama Del Rey’s songs exert, the songstress always pulls of a captivating performance that leaves us wanting more.
Check out Lana Del Rey’s new song Shades of Cool below and be sure to pick up a copy of her new album Ultraviolence when it drops on June 13.
