Let’s Get Warped

August 9th, 2007

Well, the weekend is almost here and you know what that means: Warped Tour. We’re lacing up our Chucks and practicing our pit moves as we prepare ourselves for the 13th annual Vans Warped Tour.

If you’ve been before you know that generally means a day filled with dirt, dust, the occasional liberty spike and overall good times. If you’re a Warped rookie, here are a few things you should note:

1. Take sunscreen - unlike the music, killer sunburns never rock
2. Drink lots of fluids - no one thinks the kid in the back of the ambulance is cool
3. Take the time and brush up on some pit etiquette - trust me, a flying elbow to the face is NEVER fun

As usual, the lineup this year has a little somethin’ for everyone. We have the dudes from As I Lay Dying, Coheed and Cambria, and Killswitch Engage all making appearances along with tons of other awesome acts.

We’re going to be super busy interviewing and chatting with all of your favourite bands, working our asses off to keep you guys informed. Keep your eyes peeled the next few weeks for some killer interviews, pictures and frequent updates. Who knows - maybe even k-os will make an appearance as a guest blogger. Also, be sure to come back to the blog this Saturday after the festivities to check out our pics & blog reports from the big day!

Bottom line, check back in and do it often. Being the stellar bunch we are, we’ll be sure to fulfill your every Warped Tour desire - well maybe not every!

And hey, if you see us carousing around, don’t be shy, come say “what’s up”, we looooove to meet new people.

  1. Personally I cannot WAIT to see Gallows perform - FINALLY! I’ve been constantly reading about their rowdy live shows in NME…now I’ll finally get to see what the fuss is all about. :D

  2. i just wanted to mention to whoever reads these comments… on the subject of warped tour, it would make my life if you could interview any of these bands: Paramore (they’re going to be huge by this time next year…), The Chariot, or Between The Trees. really, it would make me sooo incredibly happy. or if you could give a mention to To Write Love On Her Arms, they’re an amazing foundation traveling with warped.
