After listening to this man, eating Wonton Soup will never be seen or experienced the same way. Whether you’re pro or anti-Lil B and his social media takeover, writing songs about every celeb possible whilst integrating “SWAG” every five seconds, one thing is for sure: he leaves us all stumped and dumbfounded as to how he’s created such a cult following. I mean, the Cali-based rapper who’s made his rise during the hyphy movement is hitting over a million-two million hits every self-produced video over Youtube. It’s like the abstract expressionist movement — you’ll either be riding this tip, astounded by the innovation and bravery, or be standing in front of the canvas, scratchin’ your noggin.
With all that being said, you can imagine the buzz circulating around Lil B’s latest news that he’ll be collaborating with Jay Electronica in the near future. Electronica, most recently an official member of Roc Nation, is highly respected for his lyricism and style. For Lil B, working with Electronica can be considered a good look, and it will be interesting to see what he’ll bring to the table.
“This project with Jay is gonna be very spiritual, very uplifting, very deep,” Lil B said. “It will be historical.”
