Lil Wayne has released his first post-jail music video for his track 6’7′. The Young Money CEO worked with famed music director Hype Williams, whose most recent work includes Kanye West’s seizure-inducing All of the Lights. Wayne teamed up with his newest Young Money protege, Cory Gunz, for 6’7′. *Don’t miss Cory Gunz on RapCity tonight at 10pm ET exclusively on MuchMusic!
The video features an Inception-inspired theme, complete with Wayne receiving a ‘kick’ from falling in a bathtub full of water and driving off a bridge in a van. Wayne isn’t the first artist to use Inception as a creative background to his music video. This summer Nelly released his comeback single Just A Dream that featured spinning thimbles.
When it comes to Hype Williams his work can at times be hit and miss. 6’7′ is definitely a hit and as always with Hype, features the directors incredible talent for use of colour in a video. Check out the video for 6’7′ below and let us know what you think!
*The video contains extreme course language and subject matter. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
