Lil Wayne releases next single, 6’7″

Wasting no time since being released in November for serving a one year sentence in New York’s Rikers Island, Lil Wayne has already released a single, featuring the newest edition to Young Money Records, Cory Gunz.

6’7″ features a new Wayne with lyrics that reveal an artist that is even more focused and determined than before the Young Money CEO was incarcerated. Sounding a bit like his protege Drake, Wayne’s trademark raspy voice, the result of constantly drinking cough syrup, seems to have been subdued in the Bangladesh produced track.

Lil Wayne is set to release a new album in 2011.
