Lil’ Wayne’s album to be “birthed” in December
November 10th, 2009

Lil’ Wayne’s new rock album will finally hit stores next month after many delays. Rebirth was originally supposed to be released May 19th, but got pushed back several times. The new release day - for now - is December 15th.
The rapper can be heard playing his guitar on 80 percent of it. Some of the expected guests include Travis Barker, members of Fall Out Boy and Lenny Kravitz.
Weezy says this album is about freedom, contrary to him being sentenced for attempted weapon possession.
“This album isn’t hip-hop. When I do my Carter albums, I know I’ve got to rap, I know I’ve got to spit. I know the words I’ve got to say and the subjects I’ve got to talk about. I also know the things I shouldn’t say, the things I shouldn’t talk about. There’s none of those limits on this album. I say what I want, how I want. That’s what this album is: a freedom album.”
Rebirth will follow the release of Weezy’s No Ceilings mixtape, which came out on October 31st.

Its great that he has no limits in what he can say on his album, i think that an artist should be free to do that anyways, but i didn’t think he held back before.. will be interesting to see what its like when he doesn’t i guess.
