Lily Allen goes offline

Lily Allen has given up on the internet for good.

The singer and known social networking junkie who used to average 20 tweets a day has quit Twitter, MySpace, email and given away her laptop and Blackberry in her attempt to become what she calls a “neo-luddite.”

The reason behind the drastic change is her boyfriend Sam Cooper, who reportedly gave her an ultimatum that it was either him or Twitter.

Lily told the Mirror newspaper, “My boyfriend gets really angry. He’s like: ‘I want to spend some time with you, do we have to have one and a half million people in the room with us?’”

Lily’s decision comes a month after she announced she was giving up music. We wonder what she can give up next?
