Lily Allen working on a new album, changes name to Lily Rose Cooper

Time for a name change — Lily Allen will now be known as Lily Rose Cooper. The singer, who married boyfriend Sam Cooper last year, has made it official that her professional name will be changed to her husband’s, and that her upcoming album will be released under that name.

For those waiting on some new tunes from Cooper (gosh, that’s going to take some time to get used to), the singer has spent the past few months recording new music. In a Tweet a few months ago, she wrote: “You will be pleased to know that I am currently in the f—ing studio with @GregKurstin,” a producer who she worked with on her last album, It’s Not Me, It’s You.

“It’s great to work at my own pace, with no commitments other than to make music,” Cooper said in a statement. “I’m excited to be heading back into the studio.”
