Gossip have really gone a long way since their first studio effort, That’s Not What I Heard in 2001. Coming back with their fifth album A Joyful Noise, fans can expect the same strong vocals from front woman Beth Ditto, and heavy hitting beats worthy of a solo-dance party or two. A Joyful Noise also takes a turn for a more pop-infused direction, led by producer Brian Higgens of Xenomania who helped craft the sound of Cher, Kylie Minogue, and The Saturdays. In an interview with NME.com, Beth Ditto revealed that this album was heavily influenced by ABBA and we certainly can hear it with songs like Move In The Right Direction and Get Lost.
