Set to have her third album released posthumously next week, Amy Winehouse’s Salaam Remi-produced track Halftime hit the web today and is reminiscent of older material by the late singer. With a very R’n B and soul feel, the track features carefree and light lyrics, a contrast to the dark subject matter of Winehouse’s hugely successful sophomore album, Back to Black.
Additional tracks from the album, including Our Day Will Come and Like Smoke have already been released. Halftime was written and recorded in 2002, before the release of Amy’s debut album, Frank.
Lioness: Hidden Treasures will be released December 5.
