A new week, a new song from Taylor Swift’s upcoming fourth studio album, Red. This week’s release shows Swift moving towards a dubstep sound on her new single I Knew You Were Trouble. Singing “And I heard you moved on/ From whispers on the street/ A new notch in your belt/ Is all I’ll ever be”, fans will continue in the tradition of attempting to guess which of her high-profile celebrity relationships Swift is referring to in her latest track.
Swift, who calls the song one of her faves from the new disc, is not without a sense of humour about her most common subject matter of personal heartbreak, tweeting yesterday “I Knew You Were Trouble comes out tonight at midnight. Ready to hear more about my romantic misadventures????”.
In addition to the new song, Taylor also released the full tracklist for Red, but did not include any details on the songwriters or producers she teamed up with for each track, saving that information until the album’s official release date.
Swift’s new album Red will be available on October 22, while the single I Knew You Were Trouble is now available on iTunes. Watch NML Presents: Taylor Swift Revealed on Monday, October 22 at 6 pm ET on MUCH.
