After a year of rumours surrounding the theme for the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall, Adele confirmed last month that she would be singing the track, which was released in full today. Going by the same title, Skyfall lives up to the pressure placed on a Bond track, with Adele and her 77-piece orchestra filling up all four minutes with emotion, passion and perfection.
Recorded at London’s famous Abbey Road studios, there is no trace of damage from Adele’s throat surgery last year, with the Grammy winner belting out the new track with her signature awe-inspiring range. With lyrics like “This is the end / Hold your breath and count to 10,” Skyfall is a love song for the spy in all of us.
Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig as James Bond, hits theatres on November 9.
