Sometimes there are itches dubstep and rap can’t scratch and sometimes you just want to listen to something incredibly upbeat and uplifting. Enter The Script’s new album, #3. Aptly named #3 because it is the third album by The Script, a prolific Irish rock band from Dublin. But don’t let my slightly vague assessment fool you because once you dig through the layers of this album you’ll note that the lyrics and themes are quite intense, emotional, and deep. If You Could See Me Now expresses the feelings and internal dialogue of band member Mark Sheehan regarding the loss of his parents. Six Degrees of Separation is about a terrible breakup, apparently about the dissolution of Danny O’Donoghue and model Irma Mali’s relationship.
You might recognize Danny O’Donoghue from The Voice UK as he appears on the show as a coach with other notable names like Jessie J and Tom Jones. Danny also works on The Voice UK with Will.I.Am who appears on the #3 on the track Hall Of Fame.

Check out #3 before it drops on October 9 at MuchMusic.com‘s First Spin section with other amazing albums such as Lindi Ortega’s Cigarettes & Truckstops, David Usher’s Songs From The Last Day On Earth, and Three Days Grace’s Transit of Venus now!
