2012 was a big year for music. Frank Ocean. Beach House. Kendrick Lamar. And now we have The Weeknd’s Trilogy ready for you here on MuchMusic.com‘s First Spin section. The Weeknd has finally released an all-encompassing package of his groundbreaking mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday, Echoes of Silence from 2011 which has lead to an amazing and dedicated fan base (ourselves included). With Trilogy we get three new songs (Valerie, Twenty Eight, and Till Dawn (Here Comes the Sun)) and a new version of What You Need (which The Weeknd was unable to clear the original Aaliyah sample for).
