Listen To These Guys Or Else: The Teenagers

I read about The Teenagers via one of my many magazine subscriptions, I can’t remember which, and had been meaning to check them out ever since, but trying to find info about a band whose name is as generic as “The Teenagers” has proven difficult. So here, let me provide you with the direct link to their MySpace, where I implore you to listen to Sunset Beach (in which they reference my favourite drink – I’ll let you guess which!), among other tracks.

Oh, and warning! Explicit lyrics. In case you get antsy about that sort of thing. The music sounds innocent, but the content is kinda rowdy. Spoken like Arab Strap, breathy and wispy like The Clientele, mouthy like Pulp.

No album yet, and no North American tour dates. But you know that’s in the mail, right?

UPDATE: Adam just pointed me to a remix page for songs by The Teenagers – including mixes by Air and Lo-Fi-Fnk. So, so super!
