Live Earth NY: Waiting For Gore

Hey all! We have finally arrived in New York City after hours of delays - we’re currently waiting for Al Gore to arrive (I think he just did via police cavalcade…all SUVs, by the way). Such is the dichotomy of our trip here. I’ve been trying to be ‘carbon footprint conscious’ on my trip, due to the sensitive nature of the topic. My progress so far…has been at best spotty.

I took a town car to the airport…eesh, was on a 737 plane with literally three other people…double eeeesh, and just took another van to the venue…in fact, I think everyone is in either SUVs or trucks.

Progress status on reducing my footprint? NOT GOOD.

  1. Yikes! You’re right, not an ideal way to set an example for reducing your ecological footprint, huh? SUVs and other lavish vehicles…they shoulda made AG ride a bike to the venue. Or maybe that’s how he’ll stage his entrance once the cameras start rolling??
