So by now you’ve surely heard about Live Earth – a juggernaut of a live event taking place in all seven continents (yes, even Antarctica!) over the course of nearly 30 hours beginning this Friday, July 6 @ 9pm ET in Sydney, Australia and ending on Saturday night in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Over 150 of the world’s most popular musical acts will be performing and the broadcast is expected to reach 2 billion people, making it one of the largest global events in world history!!
MuchMusic, MuchMoreMusic, Star! & Bravo! will be broadcasting all of the concerts, while Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and MTV will be doing their own special coverage – and finally, CTV, the mothership, will showcase the best of ALL the events from around the globe with marathon coverage! There are scads of bands you love performing live at each site – including Madonna, Fall Out Boy, Beastie Boys, Kanye West, Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas, James Blunt, Kaiser Chiefs, Kelly Clarkson, AFI, Pussycat Dolls, Bloc Party, The Police, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snow Patrol…omg. Anyone who’s anyone, basically!
