Live Earth T.O.: The Beginning Is Nigh!

I’m sitting in a buzzing Much HQ at the corner of Queen & John in Downtown Toronto - and we’re about an hour and a quarter to showtime! The building is done up with LCD screens so that passers-by can get a quick overview of what’s happening all over the world (stop by to say hi, whydoncha!)
Tech people are racing around putting final touches on the 6-channel, 6-control room, 7-continent, 8-concert, 29-hour, high-definition uber-broadcast.
Canada AM’s Seamus O’Regan and Much’s Hannah Simone are rehearsing the show opening.
Graphics operators, sound people, camera peeps, lighting dudes and be-suited executives are milling about, all keen to be a part of what should be a monumental production.
Oh and lest I forget, we here at MuchMusic.com are already bringing you live blogs and photos direct from New York and London.
What can you expect from us over the next day or so? Look for blogs tonight and tomorrow from Alexisonfire, Cancer Bats, Rise Against, Dolores O’Riordan, Eva Avila, Kalan Porter and more - plus, as I said before, the best liveblogs and photos direct from all over the world.

Haha, I’m glad you liked that. Well actually to be fair I heard that term from a friend of mine, and it’s actually “cruiseazy”, but “cruise-azy” would be better to read though. And I just put my own spin on it and said cruise-AZAY…..’cause i’m a genius, and azay is much crazzier than azy.

It also sooooo crazy to see CTV in the CHUM building. MuchMusic together with MTV wha?!?!?! It’s like The Justice League of America (or Canada), like Marvel v.s. Capcon.
Seamus O’Regan and Hannah Simone, crazay! I was just downtown and saw Seamus getting his drink on next door at the Friar and Firkin. How does that guy even manage to stay awake after being up at like 6 or earlier to host Canada AM. And he’s downtown too.
Will CTV be leaving their studio in Scarborough and into the CHUM building? That would be sad cause they are so close to me right now, but great for them.
Oh yeah I also saw Daryn Jones, and took a picture of him. He looked at me kinda weird, I hope you don’t hate me Daryn, it was the first time seeing you in person after seeing you on TV since ye olde YTV days.
I feel kinda bad for City TV news, the only ones not allowed to join the party. Whoa so much is changing, this is interesting, this is delicious! Woah look theres the CTVglobemedia logo down there….
Dang almost 4am and Daryn and hot blonde host are still at it, cruise-azay.
Hey! you know what would be coo? If i could work at MuchMusic! Where do I apply, or maybe Space, that’s a pretty cool chanel, that building is just buisay.
