Kids of 88
Wait a minute… I’m a kid of 88’ so does that mean I can be in their band? Okay, super lame joke but these New Zealand boys are adorable and have a good vibe about them. If you’re into the whole MGMT, Passion Pit, Glassjaw, Electric President vibe, you’ll probably dig them. I don’t enjoy giving artist comparisons because most artists can stand alone as their own entity, but that’s just a general genre comparison. Check out their MySpace.

Ps. They do a nice mix of Ke$ha’s Tik Tok. Ch-ch-check it on their MySpace.
I actually dig the original of this video. While it’s very Ke$ha, it’s cool with the colour bursts and the alternate version that I mention in the blog looks like it would have been a blast to film. Check out some of the artists in the video:
And don’t think that Ke$ha’s appearance in Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl video is where it all began. Katy appeared in Gym Class Hereo’s Cupid’s Chokehold and a POD video before she got her launch as the wonderful Katy Perry. Moral of the story? If you’re a recording artist, go jump in everyone’s video who has already made it to get your face out there. What worked for Katy, worked for Ke$ha and I’m thinking will take Neon to the next level too.
Rihanna- Only Girl
Love this Rihanna comeback and by the sounds of the latest tracks feature the lady herself (Drake f. Rihanna, Kanye f. Rihanna) she’s building herself back up nicely. Not going to lie, I didn’t really dig her last album that much, but I’m digging this video for Only Girl and LOVE her new hair. Good job RiRi. Ps. My close friend Kathleen will be her for Halloween as I am dressing up as the lovely Ms. Perry so I will post pictures post Halloween.
Enjoy all the fun & fresh videos we have on MuchMusic.com including this week’s favourite: Whip my Hair- Willow Smith. That video/ girl rules!
Much love (pun intended)
