If you enjoy the sound of groups like The Knife, Active Child, The XX, Naked & Famous and M83, you will enjoy White Sea.

Morgan Kibby (a member of M83) is the brain, magic and woman behind White Sea. After returning home from an M83 tour she decided to teach herself the music editing program Pro Tools. She could not only write and create music, but also have the ability to master an album of her own, on her own. Initially I heard of White Sea while researching Naked & Famous as they are big fans of her work. Turns out Kibby did a wicked remix of their song Young Blood and she added a hauntingly chilling affect to the song. I love everything about White Sea: sound, remixes, aesthetics, personality… she gives me goosebumps.

Reasons to love her:
• She does remixes of great music and makes them even more enjoyable
• She’s friends with Active Child (or at least on Twitter) and his music gives me goosebumps
• Her own songs are equally as “goosebump fulfilling” as her remixes
• Her first video for the song Mountaineer reflects what I long to do everyday in the summer: swimming and hang at the beach, skateboarding, wearing cool outfits and make-up while eating watermelon with friends. And then ending the day off with a bonfire.
