Liz’s Song of the Day: Birdy – Skinny Love

One of my favourite artists is Bon Iver. He can cheer me up and mellow me out, start my day or put me to sleep. His music is simply amazing.
So when new artist Jasmine “Birdy” Van Den Bogaerde covered Bon Iver’s Skinny Love I was hesitant because it’s hard to recreate originals and do them well. But WHOA! This one deserves a standing ovation.
The 14 year old singer / songwriter is from Lymington, England and her self-released version of Skinny Love has already reached the number 25 on the U.K. charts PLUS she just landed a Atlantic UK record deal. Go Birdy, Go!
Caution: This song is so pretty, it may make you throw up.
