Lloyd Banks’ criminal charges dismissed

Assault charges against G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks have been dropped. Last Friday, an Ontario judge dismissed criminal charges against Banks, stemming from an incident that took place at Club N.V. in Brantford, ON on January 8th.

Banks was accused of allegedly assaulting Toronto-based promoter Chris Hines, after he refused to pay Banks for his appearance that night. The promoter claimed that Banks and a group of others held him hostage in a hotel room and assaulted him for over 20 minutes. The charges dropped include forcible confinement, robbery and aggravated assault.

Banks’ attorney Scott Leemon said, “With this finally behind him, Banks looks forward to coming back to Canada soon.”
