Daniel Radcliffe popped up at Comic Con this year for his movie Horns and did the classic, “celeb walks the floor in costume” thing as Spiderman. So of course it was only natural that a reporter for BBC News would ask him, just casually, what the experience was like. Then, the sound of every nerd exclaiming in joy or despair rain out around the world.
“I actually talked to some of the guys from Marvel not long ago, and they were saying, ‘We’re just going to wait for somebody at Comic-Con to build an actual Iron Man suit, and then we’re just going to buy it and use it for the film.’ Like they can’t wait for that to happen.”
I repeat. “I actually talked to some of the guys from Marvel not long ago.” Yes, Dan Rad may be in an upcoming Marvel movie. The first rumours suggest that he will be playing Doctor Strange, originally rumoured to be played be Joaquin Phoenix. Doctor Strange is a former neurosurgeon who has masterful magic skills that allow him to fly and have extended longevity. The movie is set to be directed by Deliver Us From Evil director Scott Derrickson.
But, real talk. This really is one of the weakest rumour tips I have ever heard. Talking to someone at Marvel means as much as me talking to a pilot. It doesn’t mean I know how to fly a plane.Tweet
