Desmond Hume, my favourite character on Lost
The long awaited season 5 premiere of Lost is tonight - it’s been EIGHT months (!) since the season 4 finale on May 29 and naturally we all need a little refresher as to what the f*ck is going on in the show.
Luckily there’s no shortage of theories and recaps on the internet. To recap the recaps:
* Are You Lost? TV Guide Recaps Each Character
* Lostpedia (the ultimate Lost guide with needlessly detailed episode & character recaps)
* NY Magazine’s theories recap
* E Online’s season 5 predictions/spoilers
Season 5 will consist of 17 episodes - 10 are confirmed to air weekly until March 25, 2009. What about the other 7? Please tell me there won’t be another massive gap like in Season 4.
Tonight’s episode description:
Jack and Ben try to reunite the Oceanic 6 for a return to the island (carrying Locke’s body with them) to save the remaining survivors, while those survivors feel the effects of the island’s move. Later, they come under attack by unknown forces. Meanwhile, Hurley and Sayid are on the run from police; and Kate gets some shocking advice from an old friend to ensure that “the lie” remains safe.
The two hour premiere goes down tonight on A beginning at 9pm ET. If you miss the episode (like I unfortunately will) and you’re in Canada, watch the whole thing online tomorrow in the CTV player. This is my preferred way to watch Lost, and I’m not just saying that because I work here. ![]()
Will you be watching?

Yes I will definitely be watching! I can’t wait.
As for the first 10 episodes… it was only supposed to be 10 episodes, but because of that strike last year, they added more episodes to this season instead. There won’t be a huge gap this season unless another strike happens.
