Holy hell! Another amazing band I just stumbled upon courtesy of the Anti Hit-List (again). The band’s called Stateless and they’re from Leeds, UK. Their self-titled debut was just released on July 16 over in the UK and so far I am LOVING it - my standout tracks are Exit and Bloodstream.

Sample some tracks on the band’s MySpace page. Other reviewers have described Stateless’ sound as “avant-garde rock mixed with ambient electronica”. At times vocalist Chris James’ voice echoes Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and other times it sounds kinda Jamiroquai-y or even Sneaker Pimps-esque (whoa, total throwback there). And there’s all sorts of trip-hoppy scratching and other such goodness that brings you back to the halcyon days of Massive Attack, GOOD DJ Shadow and Ninja Tune.
