Lupe Fiasco – “Lamborghini Angels” (stream)

Lupe Fiasco’s third single off the forthcoming Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 came with a warning: Do not listen if religion is a sensitive topic. After dealing with hip-hop misogyny in “Bitch Bad,” Lupe takes on religious corruption. The verses paint a graphic image of ritual maiming and blind acquiescence to cult rituals. Once again, Lupe shows that no topic is off limits as he provides intelligent social commentary. Keep an eye out for the whole record which drops on September 25th.
