M.I.A. ‘MATANGI’ Mix for Kenzo Show (VIDEO)

M.I.A dropped an eight minute Matangi mix today which is a dangerously insane mix and there is nothing like it so far. The Sri Lankan born makes best use of her music knowledge and includes South Asian melodies, Hindi-movie singing, twisted beats, and thumping bass. The best part is when M.I.A herself shows up five minutes into the track. And the other awesome part of the track is at 2:35 (the men’s humming from Tamil song which was taken from a Tamil movie “Gentlemen”). She also released a new material at a fashion show in Paris and this mix was used as a soundtrack her collaboration with the fashion line Kenzo. Matangi is also the name of M.I.A’s next album, which is out on April 15th. Make sure you give the “Matangi” mix a listen below, there is definitely nothing like it!
