M83 “Steve McQueen” (Video)

For the third video from last year’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, M83 teamed up with Genero.tv to hold a contest where fans could make their own. They were given “complete creative freedom” and asked “to interpret the song” themselves. The winners – Balthazar Auxietre and Sylvain Derosne – received £3,000 and having the distinction of making the song’s official video.

The winning video features a young boy in a yellow tuxedo, who has inexplicable super powers. What does he do? He brings his toys to life and makes it rain! (Actual water, not money.)
