Macklemore and Ryan Lewis finally get that record deal

Sure, we knew that Macklemore and Ryan Lewis weren’t sell-outs, but I guess you can’t argue with a good deal. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis finally got a record deal! Congratulations, you two!

… Kidding. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ success has ridden on the fact that they both are independent artists who have broken the model that in order to have mainstream success, they need to have a record label to back them up. We’re in the age of independence people! But they were able to poke fun at themselves in this new Funny or Die video featuring the Thrift Shop artists.
