It’s been a busy day for Major Lazer. In addition to releasing their new dance-hall inspired track Watch Out For This (Bumaye), the group has also announced that their next album will hit stores on April 15. Free The Universe, the second studio album from Major Lazer, has drawn much attention from fans over the past months, with the album’s release date continually being pushed back.
The group released a statement on their site regarding the postponement of Free The Universe, saying “Our fans are the most important part of what makes Major Lazer what it is. It is with that consideration that ‘Free The Universe’ will not be released this month as previously scheduled. We never want to disappoint our supporters but circumstances out of our control have made us unable to keep the intended date.” The band goes on to say that the delay has given them time to improve the new album, which is now available for pre-order.
Possibly as a sign of good faith, Major Lazer posted new music for their fans today with Watch Out For This (Bumaye), which features Busy Signal, The Flexican and FS Green. Check out the new track below.
