Make It or Break It Star was almost Hannah Montana

Cassie Scerbo, who plays Lauren Tanner on Make It or Break It, revealed in a recent interviewed that she was this close (hold forefinger and thumb 1mm apart) to landing the role of Hannah Montana before it went to Miley Cyrus.

While speaking with Steppin’ Out magazine, Scerbo said of the show Hannah Montana “I was a part of the original screen test. It was between me and another girl. I won’t say her name but I guess they wanted to go a little bit younger, so they brought in new writers and producers. At the time, everyone was saying, ‘This is yours! This is yours!’ I actually had the contract in my hand. I still have it, but that’s when they decided to rewrite it and go younger.”

Scerbo also said that she thinks Miley Cyrus was a great choice for the role. Still, woulda been nice to make those Miley millions, eh Cassie?
