Mariah Carey caused pandemonium in London Thursday night when she appeared at a local shopping mall to switch on the Christmas lights. Although she was an hour late, Mimi was in the holiday spirit…

“I think London is very festive in the winter but you guys start celebrating in September. We wait until the end of November so I like to come over here and see the trees, and like today’s going to be.”

Of course, what would a public appearance by Mariah Carey be without a few diva demands. According to reports, the singer had insisted she be surrounded by 20 white kittens and 100 white doves but was denied because of safety concerns.

Her publicist called the demands “absolute rubbish and absolute nonsense,” but c’mon, this is Mariah Carey we’re talking about here. We’re surprised she didn’t add dolphins and unicorns to the list.
