Mariah Carey Wins Award In Italy

Mariah Carey may be better known for her singing voice than for her acting chops- uh, remember Glitter?- but the music diva can now add award-winning actress to her repertoire.

Carey took home the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Capri Film Festival for her glammed down role in Precious.

Nick Cannon was also in Italy to support his wife as she accepted the award.

Mariah may be hoping for an Oscar nomination in the new year but don’t worry kids, she promises she’s not giving up music any time soon.

“I don’t think I would ever leave the music world but maybe I would do less albums,” Carey told reporters in Italy. “I really want to work with some great directors. I am thrilled at the possibility that perhaps that can happen.”
