Maroon 5 are getting set to release their fourth studio album, Overexposed, on June 26 with ten brand new tracks. Maroon 5 frontman and resident judge on The Voice, Adam Levine, says of the new album “Overexposed is definitely one of our most diverse and poppiest albums yet. We had a great time recording it. I can’t wait for our fans to hear the record, as well as hitting the road to play it live for everyone later this year.”
The artwork for Overexposed can best be described as a trippy collaboration of The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and The Simpsons. This is the second time the band has used an illustrator for their cover art, with their debut album Songs About Jane featuring a somewhat similar animation style with a naked woman holding a music box. The band has only appeared on one of their album covers, 2007′s It Won’t Be Soon Before Long.
Maroon 5 fans will get an early taste of Overexposed next week when the band appears on The Voice alongside Wiz Khalifa to perform their new single Payphone. The Voice airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on MuchMusic.
