So Paul McCartney asked Thom Yorke of Radiohead to do a collaboration and Thom said no.
Now look, I know Paul was in the most influential band of our time and is one of the greatest songwriters – well, ever – but I have to agree with Thom on this one. I’ll even let slide Sir Paul’s Christmas song that he plagues us with ever year, the HORRIBLY annoying Wonderful Christmas Time, AND for a moment in time I’ll forget what a meathead he looked like on Larry King Live a couple years ago when he was speaking out against the seal hunt yet didn’t know the difference between Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island.
All that aside, and me thinking for a second only about how musically brilliant Paul is…I’m STILL really glad Thom said no; it’s hard to put into words, it just doesn’t feel right.
I only wish Lou Reed had said no to The Killers…but that’s just me. (yeah, I’m looking at you Devon).
