Matte: Back From Cancun

So I just got back from Mexico…the trip was dope! I mean, being in the sun for seven days was more than enough, not to mention that it was all inclusive! Leah and I were there shooting a beach show…Spring Break 08! We stayed at Oasis in Cancun …it was a good week and we met a lot of really cool people.
The highlight of the trip was probably going to sleep and waking up to an ocean breeze. Our hotel was literally right on the beach so every night I would open my sliding door to the sound of the ocean…which was basically music to my ears considering the weather we were having before I left!
Low point: the fact that although I was at an all-inclusive resort I essentially had to pay for drinks… because if you don’t tip you don’t get service…pretty !$^@#%&#$^& annoying.
There was also the random dude that walked in my room at about four in the morning, yes, some crazy, scary ass, grown man. He left as soon as he saw me. I guess I wasn’t exactly what he was looking for.
The trip was good all in all though. The shit that happens on foreign soil is just nuts. There are plenty of mothers that will be proud of their daughters’ showings on our spring break show! 
This weekend Canadian Music Week will be underway…I can’t wait for KRS-One Saturday night and Bobbie Digital this coming Sunday…I’ll let you know how the shows are!

Ive been to Cancun 5 times, 3 spring breaks and 2 summer trips…the name of the hotel is Oasis Cancun (thats it, just Oasis Cancun) Matte it looks like you and Leah had a good time, it brought back a lot of memories for me, I mean i’m 26 but i didnt reach this year. Cancun is legendary! its a special place!

aww i was in cancun when you arrived, we talked to you about our hotel Gran Melia compared to oasis, with our same black bracelets. it was sad to watch you guys on tv knowing we were just there!! people keep saying they saw one of my friends that was with me on the t.v

I just saw the spring break special. Man, I wish I was there. The beach looked patchy and eroded in many spots, was it?
As far as tipping goes, it’s not required for service. Not sure who said that it is because they were just messing with ya. Perhaps cuz it was spring break, they insisted tips from you guys, afterall, if you have a tv camera with you at all times, you must have money to spend.
Glad to see that Matte didn’t make it in the news for taking a leak on a tree and the gardener didnt report him. It would’ve been an ideal opportunity to extort even more money from the touristas.
Did you guys tip housekeeping to open the rooms for you? That’s scary, but not really, it’s Mexico. It actually is a dangerous (anyone remember the Ianeros?) but fun place to visit.

How can I watch Spring Break on the internet. Don’t have cable. We stayed at the Oasis Cancun, Room 1216. Had a great time!!! Did not have to tip anyone just a smile and “Dos Cervezas, por favor”
