Matty Wells Talks Sopranos

June 11th, 2007

So, it’s the morning after… the final Sopranos. How do you feel? I have had some time to let it sit and I think I’m ok with it now, but last night I was not. I was seriously angry. I felt as much rage as I do every time Rosie O’Donnell opens her mouth on TV. Luckily she is on TV no more … but sadly the same is true for the Sopranos. I think I was just upset it’s over, I’m gonna watch it again this week before I pass any judgment. I cured my Sopranos depression today by listening to The Last Waltz double CD (The Band) followed by some Gorilla Biscuits in anticipation of my friend Walter who will be performing solo in TO next month. Speaking of Walter, I met another musician who got his start in the NY hardcore scene … Jesse Malin who used to sing with Heart Attack, he has a new album out called Glitter in the Gutter and it’s really good. I met him on the same day I interviewed Rob Halford, and I’m sure I don’t have to mention how radical that was. It easily moves into my top 3 interviews of all time … I could have spoken to him for hours, and seriously about everything he was so cool … confoundit!! I should have asked him about The Sopranos. Anyway, you can see those interviews this weekend on Da Loop Weekend, 11am Saturday and 11pm Sunday. Word.
