When Much and Coca-Cola put out a casting call looking for talented singers we expected big things from Canadians. Bieber? Shania? Drake? Celine? Arcade Fire? We’ve always known that this country was heavy on musical talent, but we were blown away by the inspiring submissions we received! Somehow we managed to narrow all the amazing submissions down to an incredible top ten! Today we aim the spotlight on Toronto, ON’s Justin!

If we looked at your bedroom right now we’d see… Guitars, microphones, and notes strewn around. Just finished up a round of exams and have yet to clean.

If we asked your friends three words to describe you they’d say… enthusiastic, hungry, and… short? Hahaha, I’m not sure, but I am usually pretty hungry.

If you could have dinner with five people, living or dead, it would be… Mom, Dad, Sister, Pharrell Williams, and Napoleon.

One item you can’t live without: This junky old nylon string guitar that I adopted from my cousin Pat. It’s probably not even worth as much as the strings that are on it, but it’s my go to guitar for writing and teaching – I always have it with me.

The first song I ever sang was… I’m guessing it was happy birthday? The first song I ever remember performing was Wonderwall for my grade six talent show. It was before my voice had changed and all of my friend’s older/cooler siblings called me “girly voice”.

My style of singing is most like…A combination of Jesus and Fergie.

What is your idea of a perfect weekend? One that lasts all week.
